Our in-house ad designers can design your ad for you, but we are also happy to accept ads submitted  ï»¿"camera ready" that meet our specifications available here, or we can send these specifications to you (or your ad designer) by request.

If you want our in-house ad designers to produce your ad, it is important that we receive your photographic image(s) in the correct format and before the deadline. If you send your photo(s) electronically, either from a digital camera or scanned photograph,

they must have a resolution of 300 dpi at the size they will appear in your ad. Otherwise, they may not be suitable for reproduction due to lack of quality. The graphic to the right illustrates some example file sizes for high-resolution images.

If you are unsure about the resolution of your image(s), consult your photographer or photo processor. If your images are received and we determine that the resolution is below what is acceptable, we will contact you before producing your ad.

To help us produce each issue in a timely manner, please be sure that electronically-submitted photos(s) are at the proper resolution as stated above, and include in your electronic transfer both the name of the dog and the name of the owner.
We will also accept your original photo(s) for in-house processing where the proper resolution and quality can be controlled and assured. We cannot accept color copies of original photos, as these will not reproduce to your satisfaction. (Your original photos will be returned to you – see below.)

If you send original photographs to be processed in-house, make sure that the back of each photo is marked with name and address of the person that the photos are to be returned to as well as the names of the dog and owner. That way, your photos will be returned without delay. Also, properly marked photos will ensure that they are properly placed in your ad, especially when you have more than one.

The copy for your ad should be provided in a typed format either in the body of an email or attached as a text document if sent electronically. (A hard copy printout will also be accepted). Your copy should include all information, such as the dogÂ’s registered name, call name, sire and dam, owners, breeders, handlers, addresses, phone numbers and email, the name of the judge(s) pictured in the ad and information about your dogÂ’s accomplishments. The size and color of your ad should also accompany your ad copy as well as the name of the publication it is to run in. Any special instructions concerning the look or style of your ad should also be included if desired.

Ranking information must be accompanied by the printed source from which it was taken and the date through which that ranking is current. For example, if your dog is the #1 ranked Irish Setter according to the AKC statistics through February 28, 2004, you must send this source and date along with your ad copy. It will be referenced at the bottom of your ad.

If you are sending an ad to be included in one of our special features (), please make a note on your ad material. We want to make sure you receive the discounted ad rates for all these special features and that your ad is properly placed.

Please include your address and contact information (phone and/or email) with your ad, so that we will have accurate and current information for your account, and also so that you receive your free advertiserÂ’s copy.

Checks, VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express cards accepted. Foreign payments must be made via credit card or international money order in U.S. dollars payable to a U.S. bank. Remember to include complete card number, expiration date and cardholders full name as it appears on the card. Payment should accompany all ads. Rates are subject to change without notice.

Please include the following when you send us your ad:

- Photograph(s) with a reference to the owner's and dog’s name, as either: digital images at a minimum resolution of 300 dpi at the size they will appear in your ad — or, the original photos with return information on the back of each;

- Typed Ad Copy, including all information that you would like to appear in your ad as well as as size and color, publication and special instructions;

- Your current account information so that we may contact you with any questions we may have;

- Ranking Source (if you are including your dog's ranking), including the date from which this ranking was taken;

- Special Feature Notation, if your ad is to be included in one of our publication's special feature issues;

- Correct Payment in Full or payment information.

One advertiserÂ’s complimentary copy will be mailed for each ad (of 1/2 page or more). All Doll McGinnis Publications are offered on a complimentary basis to all AKC conformation judges regularly approved to judge one or more breeds, and to all Canadian judges approved by the CKC to judge all breeds.
